Our View on Accessibility

We believe parents should have access to all the tools and resources needed to navigate the diverse landscape of K-12 education options nationwide. Our goal is to inform, inspire, and empower families, making every aspect of school choice easier for them. We believe this information should be accessible to all types of users, and we built this website with that in mind.

Measures to support accessibility

National School Choice Awareness Foundation takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of Navigate School Choice:

• Include accessibility throughout our internal policies.
• Provide continual accessibility training for our staff.
• Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities.
• Employ formal accessibility quality assurance methods.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Navigate School Choice is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Some of these third-party resources are in PDFs and other non-accessible documents. When we can, we work with partners to present the information in an accessible way.
